This week's spotlight is on Mr. Shan Cutright. We recently caught up with Shan, and here's what he had to say!

WVASQN: How old are you, Shan?
Shan: 47
WVASQN: Where were you born? And, where do you currently reside?
Shan: [I was] born in Ohio, but [I currently reside] in Charleston, WV.
WVASQN: What are some of your interests?
Shan: photography and digital image fun.
WVASQN: What is one thing you would like to do before the inevitable 'dirt nap' that awaits us all?
Shan: Mortality is becoming a new thing to me. So, [I have] not [put] a lot of thought into this one. But, the Valley of Kings, comes to mind. [And], visit Great Britain.
WVASQN: Who is the one person you would like to meet the most?
Shan: President Obama.
WVASQN: What is your astrological sign, Shan?
Shan: Capricorn.
(The Capricornian is generally a serious character possessing a wry sense of humor. Independent, and steady as a rock--Capricorn reflects earthy qualities that range from clever to vacuous. Mostly cautious, confident, strong willed, reasonable and hard working, Capricorns are a rock upon which to build. They are often aloof, shrewd, practical, responsible and persevering. They are capable of great endurance; a whatever it takes, for as long as it takes persistence. Reliable in any profession they undertake, although short on originality, they usually excel in following up on what someone else has started.)
WVASQN: Do you have a favorite restaurant?
Shan: 'Tide Water Grill', and 'Tricky Fish!' (one for each mood)
WVASQN: What about nightclubs? Anyplace you frequent, or like the most?
Shan: I don't really do night club's. And, I think there is only ONE left in Charleston, anyway.
WVASQN: Where could we find you, if you were to go on vacation?
Shan: We enjoy cruising. So, you get a little taste of many. I did develop a fondness for Malaga, Spain, however.
WVASQN: What kind of work do you do? Better yet, what would you like to be doing?
Shan: [I'm a] worker for Verizon Communication [for] now. [I] aspire to win the lottery.
WVASQN: Who is the one person that has made the biggest impact on your life?
Shan: My wonderful partner of 11 yrs.
WVASQN: Would you care to name a few of your closest friends? We're sure they'd appreciate that you cared enough to mention them.
Shan: Simon and Sienna
WVASQN: What's the name of the last book you read, or the next one you'd like to read?
Shan: The last book I read was, “Wicked” (Gregory Maguire). And, it was the last one I found on the 'up for grabs' table at work.
WVASQN: If there was a song that could be considered your 'theme song', what would it be?
Shan: I really liked the song from 'Wicked' (as sung on an episode of 'GLEE'), ”Defying Gravity.” [It was a] great episode! Curt comes out to his dad-touching.
WVASQN: Tell us, Shan, what do you think would make the world a better place to live?
Shan: [To] begin teaching our children respect and courtesy again.
WVASQN: And, finally, if we were in the wish granting business, and could grant you only two, what would they be?
Shan: [First], world peace. And, [second], a tropical place just for him, fully equipped.
